Junior QA Functional Tester

Requirements

• +2 years of proven experience as a QA Functional Tester
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, and defect tracking
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile development environment

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and functional specifications
• Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements
• Develop and execute functional and regression tests for Java-based software components
• Perform manual testing, identify defects, and document issues with clear steps for reproduction
• Collaborate with development teams to address and resolve defects and issues
• Conduct performance and scalability testing to ensure software meets performance requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices
• Provide feedback and insights into the software development process to improve product quality

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus
• Experience with automation tools is a plus
