Junior Quantity Surveyor

Summary

Job Description: A Junior Quantity Surveyor is needed to assist senior quantity surveyors in managing cost and quantity surveying tasks for property development projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and proficiency in quantity surveying software.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in quantity surveying or a similar role
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software (such as WinQS, Candy, or BuildSmart)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for property development projects
• Support in managing quantity surveying tasks, including take-offs, measurements, and valuations
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost control and adherence to budget
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports
• Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify potential issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
