Junior Rails Programmer

Requirements

• Have no more than 3 years of work experience
• Be passionate, curious, and bright
• Enjoy diving into new technologies and concepts
• Be an excellent writer of code and prose
• Be based in the Americas or Europe

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a designer to create new features and products
• Work on adding new features to Basecamp and HEY
• Develop new products
• Address issues to ensure application robustness and codebase cleanliness
• Build your skills while learning how we build products

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience with modern Ruby on Rails or similar languages (Python, PHP, JavaScript)
• Have experience with Turbo and Stimulus or React
• Have experience contributing to open source codebases
• Include links to open-source pull requests, bug reports, feature pitches, or any other public engagement in your application
• Include links to school or hobby projects in your application
• Include school transcripts, non-code school projects, or articles you've written in your application

Benefits

• Salary of $145,849
• 31 days off per year, plus another 6 weeks every third year
• 32-hour work weeks from May 1 - August 31
