Summary
Join Better's NEO Home Loans team as a Secondary Market Analyst supporting the team in pricing questions, lock execution, reporting data, investor relations, and capital market reconciliation. This role requires 1-3 years of experience in finance or a related field and a bachelor's degree or equivalent. You will assist in troubleshooting pricing issues, support lock activities, provide reporting data, and work with the FP&A team. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a finance oriented focus
- Previous Lock Desk experience or a working knowledge of Mortgage Banking/Secondary Marketing. Concepts, loan programs, guidelines, and pricing preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with focus in Excel
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a challenging environment and handle time related pressure
- Strong follow up skills with ability to analyze situations quickly
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly changing federal and state regulatory environment
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and ability to influence through collaboration
- Self-motivated, with a high level of personal energy and commitment
Responsibilities
- Assist in fielding pricing questions and troubleshooting pricing issues from NEO production team
- Support in lock execution, lock extension and relock activities for the NEO production team with the Lock Desk
- Provide reporting data for Secondary Market Analyst to identify pricing behavior, track pricing drift and overall capital market economics
- Assist in investor relations, guideline review and new product rollout
- Work with FP&A team to reconcile capital market events (i.e. PA recon fees, concession requests, etc.)
- Adopts NEOs values in work behavior, decision making, contributions and interpersonal interactions
- Promotes interdepartmental communication and culture
- Lead, develop and motivate the team across all locations and operational functions
