Junior Software Engineer in Test

Summary

Join Kaizen Gaming as a Junior Software Engineer in Test and become an integral part of an autonomous Agile team. Requirements

• A degree (BS/MS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT field
• Having spent at least 1 year as a Software Engineer in Test
• Be comfortable with programming concepts
• Understanding of software QA – knowledge about testing methods, tools, and processes
• Hands-on experience with web browser and API automation tools
• Some experience with relational databases (like SQL)
• Initial familiarity with Agile and Scrum and ability to collaborate effectively with product teams to understand their needs and keep projects on track
• Naturally curious and enjoy learning
• Communicating fluently in English (both writing and speaking)

Responsibilities

• Craft effective test plans and develop both manual and automated test cases by reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the development team
• Actively engage in scrum ceremonies to allocate test cases in alignment with the test pyramid philosophy
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to ensure seamless integration within the development process
• Own the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) for new features, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery through technical leadership
• Stay at the forefront of testing tools, methodologies, and trends, enhancing and evolving our practices and processes

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with object-oriented programming (C# would be awesome)
