Junior Tester in United Kingdom

Summary

The job is for a tester in the defense sector who will work with Jira, demonstrate functional areas to clients, and have good communication skills. The candidate must be based in Bristol or nearby, have BPSS and SC clearance, and be comfortable working in the defense sector. Familiarity with agile methodology, XML/JSON, Linux, Bash, automated testing, Dockers/Kubernetes is beneficial.

Requirements

• Experience with Jira is nice to have
• Knowledge of testing and basic principles
• Fast learner with different technologies
• Good communication skills
• Must be happy and comfortable to work in defence sector
• BPSS and SC cleared
• British National
• 3 days onsite working in Bristol, 2 days remote unless business need to be o site those 2 days as well
• Local to Bristol
• Familiar with the agile methodology (Scrum), XML/JSON, usage of Jira and Confluence - Required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Linux and Bash– advantage
• Exposure to automated testing using Selenium Web driver with Java, API testing – advantage
• Familiarization with Dockers/Kubernetes – advantage
