Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required, with proven experience as a Front-End Engineer/UI Developer
  • At least 1-3 years of professional experience in a development environment
  • Proficient with CSS
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript
  • Experience with frontend frameworks, preferably React
  • Experience with UI component libraries (Material UI, Bootstrap, Trussworks, etc.)
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards
  • Experience working with REST apiโ€™s and JSON structure
  • Detail Oriented and strong ability to problem solve
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in Agile environments
  • Experience with front end optimization techniques
  • Portfolio of UI/UX development work
  • Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, high performing UIโ€™s using React and Single Spa
  • Implement functional UI/UX designs while ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness
  • Implement use of CSS and UI component libraries (example, Bootstrap, Trussworks, etc) to enhance and standardize user interfaces within organization
  • Optimize applications while ensuring 508 compliance and adherence to WCAG standards (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
  • Able to work independently and in collaboration with designers, managers, engineers to meet business requirements and deadlines
  • Keep current with front end technologies and best practices
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues
  • SVG manipulation and/or creation as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graphic design skills
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe
