Summary
Join Schoox as an Android Developer and design, build, and maintain Android applications used by millions of learners globally. Collaborate with a skilled team in a fast-paced environment to implement new features using Kotlin and modern architecture. Maintain and refactor existing Java code, ensuring high-quality user experiences. Work with product, design, and backend teams, leverage the design system, and integrate with external data sources. Continuously improve development efficiency and application performance. This role requires a minimum of one year of Android development experience and proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Android development
- Proficient in Kotlin , with solid understanding of Java
- Hands-on experience with MVVM , Repository pattern , and modern Android architecture
- Familiarity with Git technology as well as Server communication technologies (HTTP, REST, etc.)
- Comfortable working with existing Java code when needed
- Fluency in English & Greek
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent proven experience in the field
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Implement new features in Kotlin using MVVM , Repository pattern , and clean architecture
- Maintain and refactor parts of our legacy codebase written in Java
- Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
- Leverage and contribute to our shared Design System for consistent UI across platforms
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
