Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving commercial activities with selected German Family footwear key accounts and supporting the HEYDUDE market roll out. They will develop and execute sales plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and visit key customers to evaluate assortments and make revisions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, 5+ years of successful sales and key account management in the footwear industry, deep knowledge of the German wholesale landscape, excellent communication skills, and is fluent in German and English.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of successful sales and key account management preferably in the footwear, casual or sport industry within the German national key account environment
  • Deep knowledge & experience of the wholesale landscape focused on German Family Footwear Key Accounts
  • Ability to assess customer needs quickly and establish industry-leading relationships between the brand and key account channel
  • Experiences moving successfully in a complex matrix organization driving partnership and relationship focus
  • Proven ability to drive successful growth strategies in complex environments
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in German and English

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute the sales and business plans for assigned accounts within the German market and coordinate a sales plan (by account and product) with the market sales lead
  • Deliver exponential growth with focus on selected Family footwear key accounts and leverage processes and operating tools to drive cooperation by implementing strategic models for these customers
  • Drive input as the footwear business advocate for all relevant aspects of the Key account business, plan, analyze, and implement projects and initiatives in a short time period, and develop a sales plan (by account and product) for selected German market Family footwear key accounts
  • Consult with the manager regarding development of business plans, achieve sales quotas, analyze, evaluate, and report required sales information in a timely manner, visit key customers and stores routinely to evaluate assortments, and negotiate terms and conditions with key accounts
