Requirements
- Previous role with an IT&T System Integrator, Managed Service Provider, or similar organisation and at least 5+ years in an infrastructure support role specialising in network support
- Must have current CCNP (or equivalent) certification
- Strong knowledge and industry experience across a range of networking technologies including vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, HP, Palo Alto & Aruba
- Hands on experience on Fortinet Products such as (FortiManager, EMS, FortiSwitch, FortiSASE)
- Industry experience working within the ITIL framework (ITIL certifications highly regarded)
Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd level and above technical network infrastructure support escalated from the service desk, network technicians or direct from the customer
- Resolve incidents and service requests for network related tickets
- Be available to take phone calls for escalated enquiries or tickets
- Adhere to Incident, Problem and Change Management processes as per the company/ customer standards (ITIL Framework)
- Working with the monitoring team to ensure best practice monitoring configurations are setup and are notifying the network team proactively on network issues
- Conducting monthly or quarterly patching & health checks on network systems and devices across our customer base
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledgebase (KB) articles
- Perform onsite maintenance and troubleshooting when required
- Provide recommendations to customers and sales staff for improvements in network infrastructure configuration and deliverables
- Attend customer meetings when and contribute to monthly reports and PIRs to customers where required
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 other network vendor related industry certifications is highly desirable
- Linux/Unix Experience is desirable
