Summary

Join Urban Grid as a Land and Lease Administrator and provide clerical and administrative support to the Site Acquisition team. Maintain, update, and optimize contract files related to land acquisition. Collaborate with various departments on contract administration, perform data entry, and handle general administrative functions. Maintain files related to Land Department functions, perform data entry, and carry out general administration as needed. The ideal candidate will be flexible, work well in a dynamic team, and be familiar with land and lease management, basic legal contract parameters, and accounting principles. Excellent communication and technical skills are required. A passion for land and renewable energy is a plus. This is a remote position, preferably in the Eastern Time Zone.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in database management and administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong grasp of real estate contract terms and conditions and ability to quickly read and extract key provisions from land agreements and legal documents
  • Familiarity with the various elements and phases of the solar project development process
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft platform- Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of ARC GIS and ESRI system for data analysis and mapping
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and deliver results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of payment requests, contract reports, and work with internal teams to onboard landowners into various systems of record
  • Perform other administrative duties, including data gathering, spreadsheet preparation, file and database management, and document retention within file structure and land management platform
  • Assist in the updating of the land contract management system across the company portfolio
  • Other duties and various data management tasks assigned by Manager
  • Learn company systems and maintain reports as necessary for land acquisition
  • Coordinate with community engagement team for additional landowner onboarding
  • Coordinate with real estate counsel and land acquisition team on recording memorandums
  • Assist in developing SOPs for contract administration for full lifecycle of project development
  • Other duties as assigned
