Requirements

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework aligned with AUSTRAC, ASIC, and other applicable regulatory bodies
- Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), and other financial crime regulations
- Keep up to date with evolving regulatory requirements in Australia and globally, advising leadership on potential impacts
- Act as the primary point of contact with regulators, auditors, and external compliance stakeholders
- Oversee and enhance transaction monitoring, customer due diligence (CDD), and know-your-customer (KYC) processes
- Identify and mitigate compliance risks related to digital asset trading, including fraud prevention and cybersecurity threats
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to ensure ongoing regulatory adherence
- Design and implement company-wide policies on AML/CTF, sanctions screening, and data privacy
- Ensure employees are trained on compliance obligations, ethics, and industry best practices
- Develop and enforce reporting procedures for suspicious activity and regulatory filings
- Lead the compliance team and provide guidance to executive leadership on compliance matters
- Collaborate with legal, product, and technology teams to ensure compliance is embedded in business operations
- Represent the company in industry forums, working groups, and regulatory discussions
Preferred Qualifications
