Join Hakkoda as a Managed Services Data Engineer Lead and contribute to the reliability, performance, and availability of our software systems. You will work directly with customers, collaborate with internal and external teams, and mentor other associates. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a similar analytical field
- 4+ years in related technical roles, 1+ year in management or team leadership
- Experience hiring, developing, and managing a technical team
- Experience designing and developing data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, SQL Server, Spark)
- Experience building ETL / ELT ingestion pipelines with tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and tuning SQL, including analysis of query plans
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools
- Experience with business intelligence/data analytics
- Cloud experience on Snowflake or AWS
- Advanced English
- Management skills (people and agile projects)
Responsibilities
- Monitor, automate, and improve software systems' reliability, performance, and availability
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs
- Collaborate with internal and customer teams to prevent incidents
- Manage infrastructure
- Build effective monitoring systems
- Ensure the smooth operation of computer systems
- Mentor and coach other associates
- Stay current on the ever-changing technical landscape

- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications

Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud experience on Azure, and GCP
- Experience and expertise in Python and familiarity with the application of modern data science language
- A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
