Summary
Join Point as a Lead DevOps Engineer and lead our DevOps practice, supported by a group of DevOps Champions. You will own our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring systems, and cloud strategy, ensuring our platform scales reliably and efficiently. This role requires hands-on engineering and cross-functional leadership. Drive cross-functional alignment on the DevOps roadmap, collaborate with teams, and mentor team members. You will lead automation solutions, optimize CI/CD pipelines, develop IaC practices, and implement monitoring and security measures. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced DevOps professional in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go)
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
- Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Thorough understanding of monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
- Strong grasp of security principles, compliance standards (e.g., ISO27001, SOC 2), and secure infrastructure design
- Combine hands-on technical work with planning and mentorship
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
- Skilled at balancing long-term priorities with short-term
Responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional alignment on the DevOps roadmap, collaborating with teams to prioritize and drive initiatives that enhance developer experience
- Foster a collaborative culture with DevOps Champions across development teams to promote DevOps best practices and mentor team members
- Drive cloud strategy, focusing on reliability, performance, cost optimization, and alignment with business objectives
- Lead the design and implementation of automation solutions to improve the efficiency and scalability of development and deployment workflows
- Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless integration and delivery processes across teams
- Develop and standardize IaC practices using tools like Terraform, ensuring scalable, consistent, and secure infrastructure
- Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
- Embed security into every stage of the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and proactive risk management
