Requirements

  • Be a technical expert, with strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS fundamentals and extensive hands-on experience with Angular
  • Have experience designing and building scalable front-end architecture
  • Have a proven track record of leading on front-end projects
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and natural empathy to foster a collaborative, outcome-oriented engineering culture
  • Have an owner mindset, iterating and taking pride in owning customer-facing features from ideas to going live fast
  • Strive for great visuals and usability
  • Thrive in the startup world, having gained experience in this fast-paced, agile environment, ideally as an early engineer in a startup
  • Be passionate about sharing knowledge and championing new technologies

Responsibilities

  • Be a go-to person for all things 'Front End,' taking ownership and collaborating with the CTO to set technical direction
  • Work closely with product and design teams, shape and design features for both new and existing products
  • Design, develop, and maintain user-facing features using Angular and TypeScript, with a focus on creating visually stunning and scalable UI components
  • Improve the frontend architecture, prioritising pragmatic solutions suited to our current development stage
  • Assist in spearheading hiring - working with our Head of People to scale a first-class engineering team
  • Help to develop the existing team, providing mentorship, and enabling a culture of continuous learning and collaboration
  • Ensure clean code through extensive code reviews
  • Establish and promote Secfix engineering culture

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a fast-paced, agile environment, ideally as an early engineer in a startup
