Summary

Join Kiln's Software Development Team as a Lead Fullstack Engineer in Paris/London or remotely from Western EU. You will lead a full-stack squad, contribute to architectural decisions, and build user-facing products. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing new features (70% frontend, 30% backend), participating in code reviews and CI/CD, and interacting with customers. You'll need significant experience in web3, blockchain, and software engineering, along with proven skills in TypeScript, React, and PHP/Laravel. Requirements

  • +1 year of experience in web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency — with solid understanding of staking, and DeFi
  • +6 years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend, Frontend, or Fullstack), designing, building, and deploying user-facing and API-based products
  • +2 years leading and/or managing a full-stack team (at least 3 developers)
  • Proven TypeScript and Vue or React programming skills — professional experience in a production environment
  • PHP/Laravel programming skills
  • Familiar with software development best practices (Test, CI/CD, DevOps, Security…)
  • Previous experience collaborating in a team-based development environment is required (sprints, code reviews, standups, problem-solving sessions)
  • Curiosity and ability to dig into a topic and follow through
  • Ability to balance between impact and thoroughness in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in both French and English

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Fullstack squad, and collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designer
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
  • Be an active contributor within the Fullstack squad owning Kiln user-facing products (Dashboard, dApp, Widget)
  • Design, develop and implement new features: 70% frontend (e.g. using our design system to build new features or adding new components to it…)
  • Design, develop and implement new features: 30% backend (e.g. implement the transaction crafting part for a new protocol…)
  • Participate in code review, test and CI/CD processes, bug fixing, and code maintenance
  • Interact with customers for debugging purposes and product discovery
  • Make sure we respect any software security norms (Kiln is a SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 company)
  • Actively suggest continuous improvement of Kiln's platform and engineering practices
  • Communicate with other Kiln teams to help them understand the Software roadmap and technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiar with blockchain ecosystem, Ethereum Virtual Machine and smart contracts
  • Experience in a fast-growing, early-stage startup
  • Living close to Paris or London
  • Sensitivity to Product Design
