Lead Instructor

Summary

Join Correlation One and lead instruction for a cohort of up to 100 employees in live online classrooms for up to 20 weeks. This part-time, remote, paid role involves preparing and delivering lectures, providing learner support, and collaborating with the Correlation One team. You will work with learners from diverse backgrounds, some with prior data experience and others without. The role requires significant experience in data analysis, teaching, and communication, along with strong leadership and organizational skills. The program is delivered virtually, using platforms like Zoom and Slack. Compensation details are provided separately.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or related role
• Experience conveying data-related topics to cross-functional stakeholders (formal teaching preferably online)
• Experience with data storytelling and data visualization
• Experience teaching in a virtual environment
• Data practitioner with technical and application background
• Ability to simplify and explain data concepts, as well relate them to business objectives
• Exceptional leadership skills
• High organization
• Professionalism

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction for a cohort of up to 100 employees in a live online classroom for the duration of the program, up to 20 weeks
• Prepare and lead live lectures
• Provide learner support through asynchronous messaging, such as through email or Slack
• Review program materials prior to the beginning of the program to familiarize themselves with the content
• Meet and communicate with Correlation One prior to the beginning of the program to coordinate on the logistical details of teaching the program
• Conduct lectures virtually via Zoom and use Slack for communication
• Engage with learners by addressing their questions and fostering active participation during live lectures
• Participate in weekly meetings with the Correlation One team to discuss upcoming lectures, share feedback, and provide insights on past sessions
• Prepare for the lecture by reviewing content, testing exercises, and complete lecture planning templates - approximately 2 hours of preparation per lesson
• Coordinate with Correlation One on the class logistics and communicate any thoughts, feedback, or updates on the program

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching entry-level university data courses (Python 101, Data Analytics 101, etc) or Virtual bootcamp teaching experience
