Summary
Join Limble as a QA Engineering Lead to oversee the growing QA function and lead a team of 5+ quality engineers. Shape and execute the quality strategy across application engineering, partnering with engineering and product leadership. Integrate a culture of testing into the SDLC, develop and enforce QA standards, and ensure web applications and APIs meet high standards. Define metrics and reporting for QA health, including root cause analysis and bug escape rates. Lead team delivery, focusing on team leadership, process development, and cross-functional collaboration. Continuously improve QA processes and stay current with industry trends.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role
- Strong background in test automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, or similar tools
- Proven experience leading QA efforts in agile product development environments
- Deep understanding of API testing (manual and automated) and backend validation techniques
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and their integration with automated tests
- Strong analytical skills, with experience performing root cause analysis and communicating testing KPIs to leadership
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling QA processes and teams
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers responsible for testing across multiple application teams
- Define and enforce QA best practices, standards, and tooling across the SDLC
- Drive the implementation of robust automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, unit testing) for UI and API layers
- Foster a culture of quality by collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design teams to shift testing left and embed QA thinking early in the development lifecycle
- Establish and maintain clear quality metrics (e.g., escaped defects, root cause analysis, time-to-fix) and provide regular reporting to engineering and executive leadership
- Ensure test coverage meets standards across critical workflows, and lead initiatives to reduce regressions and escaped defects
- Encourage exploratory testing amongst the organization
- Own developing appropriate test suites across Limbleβs web and mobile applications
- Continuously improve our QA processes, including selection of tools, integration into CI/CD pipelines, and test environment management
- Stay current with industry trends and bring forward modern approaches to test automation, performance testing, and risk management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional test frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium)
- Familiarity with performance or security testing tools
- Experience testing in cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
- Working knowledge of database validation (SQL)
- Background in Agile or Scrum-based development environments
