Lead Software Engineer

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience , with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role
• Strong skills in backend systems (e.g., Python, Node.js, or similar), API design, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience building and scaling production-grade web applications or platforms
• Exposure to applied AI/ML in product environments
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Comfort with fast-paced, agile, and startup-style environments

Responsibilities

• Own architecture and development for high-impact parts of the platform — including APIs, workflows, and internal tools
• Lead feature delivery from start to finish — scoping, implementation, review, and deployment
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to bring ideas to life
• Mentor other engineers, set technical standards, and drive engineering best practices
• Work on applied AI/ML features like intelligent provider selection, refund automation, and order prediction
• Help shape Burq’s technical roadmap and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture
