Lead Software Engineer

Summary

Join Cryptio, a Series-A enterprise-grade crypto back-office platform, as a Lead Software Engineer. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the Data & Reconciliation API, a crucial component for enabling large-scale users to seamlessly reconcile on-chain datasets with internal data. This fully remote position (UK or France) requires 7+ years of software engineering experience with proficiency in Rust and PostgreSQL. You will work with a talented team, utilizing a modern development stack, and play a key role in ensuring the API's high performance, scalability, and reliability. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering
• Pro-efficient in Rust, ability to write and ship production-grade code
• Pro-efficient with PostgreSQL, ability to design database schemas and write complex queries
• Some experience working with data-heavy products
• Some experience optimising systems: caching, indexing, query optimisation, profiling…
• Impeccable spoken and written English
• Exceptional communication skills and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Thriving when working with others - collaboration is paramount for this role
• An analytical mindset, a passion for solving complex problems, and an interest in the crypto and fintech industry

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of the Data & Reconciliation API
• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security, supporting the rapid growth of Cryptio’s integration capabilities
• Work with large-scale data pipelines, optimising reconciliation workflows for speed and accuracy
• Oversee code quality by conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring adherence to best practices
• Work closely with product and engineering leadership to align data and reconciliation projects with Cryptio’s strategic goals
• Monitor and troubleshoot user issues, proactively implementing improvements
