Remote Lead Software Engineer

Summary

Join NICE's dynamic team as a Lead Software Engineer and lead the development of chatbot platforms for customer support, utilizing PHP, Vue.js, MySQL, Elasticsearch, and AWS. This role involves leading a team of developers, ensuring code quality, working with product managers and QA teams, and participating in L2/L3 customer support.

Requirements

• Experience designing architecture for SaaS
• Proficiency in PHP 8.2+
• Proficiency in relational databases
• Optional: JavaScript (Vue.js)
• Experience with AWS Cloud or similar
• Previous tech lead experience
• Czech B2+, English B2+

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5 developers (2 Backend, 3 Frontend)
• Ensure code quality through best practices, patterns, supportability, observability, stability, and scalability
• Work closely with the Product Manager
• Work closely with QA team to maintain product quality
• Co-operate with DevOps for seamless deployment and provisioning
• Participate in L2/L3 customer support
• Identify and address tech debt
• Architect the product
• Conduct quality code reviews
• Mentor your team members
• Assist in interviewing and hiring of new developers
