Summary

Join Cleo, a fast-growing fintech unicorn, as a Lead/Staff Product Analyst and be at the center of strategic decision-making for our AI Financial Assistant pillar. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders from Product, Design, Machine Learning, and Engineering to leverage user data and analytical techniques to improve Cleo's financial coaching. As part of a talented data team, you will conduct deep-dive analyses, A/B testing, and causal analyses to influence product roadmaps and define success metrics. You will build models, prioritize data modeling needs, and advocate for analytics best practices. This role requires extensive analytics experience, impact-focused skills, knowledge of experimentation and statistics, strong technical abilities, and a solid understanding of data foundations. Requirements

  • Extensive analytics experience: You have 5+ years experience in a data/analytics field. You have previously improved user product engagement through data-driven insights and experimentation, and have linked those improvements to commercial results. Exposure to machine learning / conversational AI is a plus, but not required
  • Impact-focussed : You are skilled at influencing decisions through data storytelling. You guide your team to build frameworks of what is really important for success of the product and produce timely insights that impact decision-making and drive success
  • Knowledge of experimentation and statistics : Experience conducting large scale A/B experiments, and interpreting results to drive product and business decisions. A solid understanding of statistics as applied to analytics (e.g. experimentation, geo-lift, synthetic control). Python and ML-analytic skills are a bonus
  • Metrics and initiative sizing : Strong track record in using analytics to help teams succeed. You know how to help teams pick the right success metric and decompose that metric into growth levers. You work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure rapid feedback cycles on decision-making
  • Strong technical ability: Excellent SQL skills. Fluency in Python and its application in data analysis
  • Data foundations : You have worked end-to-end across the data pipeline and understand best-practices in defining effective tracking, data modelling, and building self-serve dashboards
  • Standard setter : You’re someone who raises standards, with proven impact in contributing to the capabilities of a data team

Responsibilities

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis of the product ecosystem to understand our users’ current financial reality, improve the quality of AI interactions, and leverage chat to coach users towards meeting their goals
  • Conduct regular A/B tests and causal analyses to determine the impact of product changes on success metrics
  • Influence the roadmap of product teams through presentation of data-based recommendations to senior product and business leadership
  • Define how we quantitatively evaluate success, setting KPIs, designing tracking to measure what really matters
  • Build models of user-segmentation, customer lifetime value etc
  • Work with Analytics Engineering to prioritise data modelling needs in your area as well as directly contributing to our transformed data codebase
  • Set and be an advocate for analytics best-practice, improving the capabilities of the team to enable short and long-term success
