Summary
Join the Raspberry Pi Foundation as a Learning Manager (AI Literacy) and contribute to developing high-quality educational materials on AI and machine learning for students aged 4-18. This permanent, full-time (or part-time/flexible) role based in Cambridge, UK (or remote with travel) involves creating engaging learning experiences and resources. You will collaborate with colleagues and external partners, ensuring alignment with evidence-based pedagogy and the Foundation's teaching approach. The ideal candidate possesses a Computer Science/related degree, Qualified Teacher Status, and at least three years of classroom experience, preferably in Computer Science. A passion for AI advancements and experience delivering AI-focused lessons are highly desirable. Requirements
- A thorough understanding of computing, with a degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related subject
- Qualified Teacher Status and at least 3 years direct experience of teaching computer science
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver learning experiences, content, resources, and training for the Foundation's educational programmes and products
- Ensure that learning experiences, content, resources, and training reflect evidence-based pedagogy and the Foundation's agreed approaches to teaching and learning across formal education and non-formal learning
- Contribute to the development of the Foundation's teaching and learning strategy and approaches. Actively engage with research and best practice, and identify areas for improvement and innovation
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and external partners
- Engage positively with the Foundation's systems for quality assurance, including in relation to agreed policies for inclusion and accessibility
- Proactively utilise user feedback and data to drive improvement
- Represent the Raspberry Pi Foundation to external audiences and stakeholders as required
- Contribute to the Foundation's thought leadership through writing articles and blogs, public speaking, and contributing to research and evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in designing and implementing AI literacy curriculum for students, combined with a demonstrable interest in the latest developments in AI for education
- Experience of delivering high quality learning experiences, content, resources, or training in a variety of different settings and contexts
- Comfortable with a broad range of technologies, including hardware and software platforms, and the ability and willingness to learn new technologies as required
- An understanding of computing pedagogy within formal education and informal learning
- A commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, including on diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners. Openness to working across the Foundation's programmes and products
- Willingness to travel in the UK and potentially internationally
