Join Parity Technologies, a leading blockchain infrastructure company, as a UK-qualified Legal Counsel. This permanent role will support various business functions, focusing on licensing, intellectual property, contract negotiation, privacy, and corporate governance. You will work with a dynamic legal team, advising and supporting all areas of the business. The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years PQE, in-house experience, and a strong understanding of commercial law. A passion for open source, Web3, and blockchain is essential. Requirements

• 3 years plus PQE UK Qualified commercial lawyer with a minimum of 1 years in house experience
• Commercially aware with in-house legal experience
• Interest in and desire to learn about blockchain, open source and decentralised systems

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal corporate organisation and compliance in corporate governance
• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts and legal agreements across the business
• Develop and manage Parity’s IP strategy, liaising with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel
• Oversee commercial litigation in collaboration with external counsel
• Monitor the legal and regulatory environment related to blockchain
• Handle ad hoc projects as required by business needs
• Provide accurate, timely advice to internal stakeholders, including senior management, on a variety of legal topics (e.g., licensing, intellectual property, privacy, corporate law, partnerships, and commercial agreements)
• Apply effective risk management techniques and proactively address potential legal issues
• Communicate, negotiate, and manage relationships with external parties (e.g., service providers, partners, external counsel, public authorities)
• Draft and review agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to protect the company’s legal rights
• Manage complex matters with multiple stakeholders
• Clarify legal language or specifications for organisational understanding
• Keep up-to-date with industry and business-specific legislation and legal developments
• Understand blockchain, decentralised technologies, and Parity’s technology stack to advise on related legal matters
