Requirements
- 5+ years of experience reviewing and drafting contracts in English
- Legal qualification: Qualified UK solicitor, US attorney, or Japanese Bengoshi with 5+ years in-house or private practice experience (other jurisdictions considered)
- Excellent skills in coordinating with outside counsel
- Native-level English proficiency
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills
- Willingness to actively leverage generative AI to enhance work quality and drive business impact
Responsibilities
- Review and draft contracts in English
- Negotiate contracts across diverse regions
- Conduct legal research
- Manage compliance activities
- Cooperate with HR in developing internal policies
- Work closely with a very small legal team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulatory compliance (especially telecom-related regulations)
- Business-level Japanese proficiency
