Responsibilities

  • Coordinate team logistics, including organising meetings, managing team schedules, and handling correspondence
  • Format documents, prepare presentation decks, and assist with internal document management
  • Manage legal subscriptions, access permissions, and act as the primary point of contact for legal tools and software
  • Track and drive completion of key deliverables, follow up on pending action items, and maintain relevant project boards (e.g., Asana)
  • Develop and maintain team workspaces, archive outdated files, and ensure accurate team documentation
  • Support the contract management workflow, including document tracking, version control, and monitoring contract execution
  • Create Forum posts and team communications to update the department on ongoing initiatives
  • Gather and analyse data in support of legal and finance team initiatives
  • Assist with basic financial planning tasks such as data entry, updating financial spreadsheets, and tracking expenses
  • Aid in producing simple financial reports for planning and budgeting processes
  • Conduct research on blockchain, crypto laws, and regulations, including market trends within the Polkadot ecosystem
  • Perform ecosystem research to track industry developments, compile data reports, and analyse trends
  • Stay informed on blockchain technology and software development concepts relevant to the role
  • Manage access and subscriptions for legal tools; maintain a log of current tools and their respective owners
  • Maintain and update the Asana board, ensuring all projects are tracked with clarity on jurisdiction, corporate governance, and key deliverables
  • Oversee the team calendar, including scheduling team calls, taking notes, and tracking action items
  • Monitor and respond to emails from the shared Legal@ inbox
  • Use Juro for contract management, ensuring all documents are tracked, version-controlled, and archived as necessary
  • Manage internal communication channels (Polkalegal, Legal Newsletter, Element channel) to ensure team members stay informed
  • Keeping up to date on regulatory developments in blockchain to assist with our bi-monthly Reg Rewind updates, maintain roadmap and creating/delivering presentations
  • Compile notes and draft monthly reports for Director updates, capturing key activities regarding signatories
