Requirements

• Experience working as a Lead Designer on AAA 3D Action console games
• Experience with Level, Player Character, Enemy design, and all aspects of 3D Action game design
• Experience of designing First and/or Third Person shooters
• Worked on and shipped at least two games
• Able to take ownership and drive forward all design aspects
• Highly proficient in using Unreal 5
• Have a solid understanding of all disciplines
• Able to communicate effectively with our clients and maintain a strong relationship with them
• Experience working as a designer in on at least two published console titles
• A strong grasp of level flow, metrics & pacing
• A good visual eye for scene setting, sight lines, vistas and areas of interest
• Proven experience working within Unreal Engine 4 or 5, as well as with Blueprinting
• Experience of greyboxing levels to a professional standard
• Experience in scripting gameplay content in levels such as events, interactions and encounters
• Experience with enemy placement/spawn points
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with a creative and multidisciplinary team
• Experience as a Combat Designer on at least one published AAA console title, preferably FPS
• Strong knowledge of AI behaviour, combat mechanics, and encounter design
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprint scripting
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate within the engine
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• A passion for delivering exceptional combat experiences
• A strong, allrounder senior game designer with experience across a broad range of game design skills: Level Design, Gameplay Design, Systems Design and with the technical ability to implement them in game engines
• Experience working as a Game Designer on at least three published games in a multidisciplinary team
• Be willing to take ownership and drive forward design in their areas of responsibility
• Be a creative thinker and problem solver able to provide new ideas and solutions
• Unreal 4 experience is a must
• Have a solid understanding of all disciplines
• You will need to have plenty of experience of dealing with team, clients and publishers and have demonstrable verbal communication skills
• Must have an absolute passion for games

Preferred Qualifications

• Level design experience for third person action games is a benefit
• Experience of mentoring more junior Level Designers
• A proven track record in making console games with experience with PC games nice to have
