Join Sword Health, a leading AI-powered healthcare company, as a Licensing & Credentialing Coordinator. You will play a critical role in ensuring our Physical Therapists (PTs) are appropriately licensed and credentialed. Maintain and update comprehensive records of licensing and credentialing documentation. Partner with PTs to acquire new state licenses and guide them through the process. Coordinate credentialing efforts with various health plans. Release information and documentation to external agencies while adhering to privacy regulations. Monitor license expiration dates and proactively assist PTs with renewals. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for PTs on licensing and credentialing processes. Requirements
- Familiarity with regulatory and payer requirements related to PT licensing and credentialing
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience working 1:1 with clinicians is a plus
- Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion and in compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
- Limited knowledge of regulatory and compliance matters, with the ability to escalate and consult more senior analysts as needed
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and regularly update comprehensive records of licensing and credentialing documentation for all Physical Therapists
- Partner 1:1 with PTs to support the acquisition of new state licenses, guiding them through the process and ensuring timely submission of all necessary documentation
- Coordinate credentialing efforts for PTs with various health plans, acting as a liaison between clinicians and plans to facilitate smooth and timely credentialing
- Release appropriate information and documentation to external agencies upon request, following all relevant policies and privacy regulations
- Monitor license and credential expiration dates; proactively notify PTs and assist them in completing renewal requirements ahead of deadlines
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to PTs by answering questions and providing guidance on basic licensing and credentialing processes, including Sword-specific requirements and those of external organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with licensing and credentialing platforms or tracking systems
- Knowledge of state licensing boards and major health plan credentialing processes
- Previous work in a remote or fast-paced health tech environment is a plus
