Linguistics Consultant, AI Tutor

As an AI Tutor in Linguistics, you'll contribute to Generative AI projects by developing complex question-answer pairs and scoring criteria to evaluate AI responses. This fully remote, freelance role offers flexibility to work with your schedule. You'll generate challenging prompts for the AI, define scoring criteria, and correct AI responses using your linguistic expertise. The role is part-time and allows you to enrich your portfolio while making a tangible impact on AI quality. No developer skills are needed.

Requirements

• You have a Master’s degree or PhD in Linguistics
• You have professional experience in the following subdomains within Linguistics: General Linguistics, Theoretical Linguistics, Psycholinguistics, Neurolinguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics, Computational Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Historical Linguistics, Anthropological Linguistics, Comparative Linguistics, Forensic Linguistics, Corpus Linguistics, Dialectology, Phonetics and Phonology, Pragmatics, Lexicography, Language Documentation, Language Typology, Cognitive Linguistics, Language Evolution, Language Policy and Planning, Sign Linguistics
• Your level of English is advanced (C1) or above
• You are ready to learn new methods, able to switch between tasks and topics quickly and sometimes work with challenging, complex guidelines

Responsibilities

• Generating prompts that challenge the AI and are likely to produce incorrect responses
• Defining comprehensive scoring criteria for evaluating the correctness of the AI's answers
• Correcting the AI's responses based on domain-specific knowledge
