Summary

Join ServerHub, a Global Hosting Service Provider, as a Platform Support Specialist! Requirements

  • A fresh graduate of any IT-related course is encouraged to apply
  • At least one year of experience for career shifters, non-graduates of any IT-related course, and undergraduates of IT-related courses
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of all aspects of Linux and on the basic concept of an IaaS Company
  • Basic knowledge of cPanel (assigning PTR records, A records, NS records, MX records)
  • Knowledge in using Ping, Traceroute, Uptime confirmation, and memory usage for troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalling concepts
  • Knowledge of using Control Panel (KVM/VPS) to restart client services

Responsibilities

  • Focus on the ticketing queue and deliver excellent customer service by handling customer concerns and requests
  • Escalate matters to L2 and L3 levels if needed, and update the queue once the issue is settled
  • Interface directly with our data center staff and development teams to ensure our platform and features have scalable architectures and that will provide a stable infrastructure to our customers
  • Learn and adapt to rapid changes, especially in the Serverhub platform
  • Handle and update ticketing queue
  • Escalate customer concerns when needed
  • Troubleshooting Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), Apache, Nginx, MySQL, etc
  • Collaborate with different internal support teams to improve the processes
  • Achieving or exceeding KPIs and performance goals
  • Thrives in the fast-paced global environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages (Ruby, Python, Go, Bash, PHP)
  • Knowledge and experience In backup technology (FC, - Basic configuration Management tools (Puppet or Chef )
  • Open Source (CoreOS, Docker, Vagrant)Experience in building, running, and scaling micro-services using Kubernetes, Serverless, Docker, and monitoring services like (Prometheus, DataDog, New Relic, etc.) etc. is strongly preferred
  • Experience in the Web Hosting Field is a major plus
