Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in paralegal studies (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting large-scale litigation trials
- Proven ability to support high-stakes litigation matters, including trial preparation and document management
- Experience using electronic court filing systems (including Federal Judiciary’s Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system)
- Microsoft 365 (specifically Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Adobe Acrobat
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools and litigation support software
- Excellent drafting and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural sensitivity and professionalism
- A team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the full lifecycle of litigation matters, including pre-trial preparations, trial support, and post-trial activities
- Organize and manage large volumes of case materials, ensuring all trial documents are accurately prepared and filed
- Conduct legal research and analysis on procedural and substantive issues related to litigation matters
- Draft and edit correspondence, pleadings, and case materials with a high level of attention to detail
- Work closely with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel, ensuring smooth communication and effective case management
- Provide logistical and organizational support during trials, including managing exhibits and witness materials
- Oversee filing systems and databases, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines
- Coordinate with attorneys and stakeholders to meet critical case deadlines and milestones
Preferred Qualifications
Westlaw preferred (experience with LexisNexis is acceptable)
