Requirements
- HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
- Minimum of three years experience in Physiotherapy within an MSK service in Primary Care or General Practice, working at Level 7 or above
- Experience conducting remote patient assessments (phone and video)
- Valid IR(ME)R certificate valid within the last 3 years
- Proficiency with clinical IT systems (ideally with Jira and Teams/Slack)
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage deadlines
- Commitment to patient-centred care and ongoing professional development
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to proficiently document patient consultations according to organizational policy and national guidelines
- Ability to recognize individual learning needs and actively seek professional development opportunities in line with local and national frameworks (e.g., HCPC revalidation requirements)
- Ability to act as a professional role model, demonstrating organizational values and behaviours
- A patient-centred approach ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction and clinical care
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive remote physiotherapy assessments and treatment sessions via our digital platform, ensuring a seamless patient experience
- Assess and diagnose a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, provide evidence-based treatment strategies, and guide patients through rehabilitation programs
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including consultation notes and referrals, ensuring compliance with DCA policies and protocols, clinical governance and data protection standards
- Work closely within a large, multidisciplinary team that includes GPs, ACPs and non-clinical professionals to provide integrated patient care
- Adhere to DCA’s regulatory standards, clinical guidelines, and best practices to ensure the highest standard of care in a digital healthcare environment
- Implement provisions related to Mental Health Legislation (Mental Health Act 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005) in accordance with legislative requirements, Codes of Practice, and national guidance
- Identifying potential vulnerable patients, recognizing signs of abuse or neglect, and completing safeguarding referrals in accordance with local and national policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced physiotherapy practitioner qualification
- Independent non-medical prescribing qualification
- Up-to-date knowledge of national prescribing policies and guidelines, and an understanding of working within the scope of professional practice
- Knowledge of clinical governance principles as applied to remote working and digital healthcare
- Skill in sharing knowledge and evidence-based insights to support team development and quality care
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
