Summary
Management Solutions is seeking a Long Duration Energy Storage Subject Matter Expert for a part-time consulting role. This position involves conducting engineering reviews of LDES systems, identifying gaps and risks, drafting reports, communicating with stakeholders, and providing technical advice. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, substantial experience in LDES and BESS, ability to read and comprehend one-line diagrams and electrical system specifications, and at least 10 years' experience in this field.
Requirements
- Residency in the U.S
- U.S. citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering required
- Background and substantial experience in LDES and BESS are required
- Ability to read and comprehend one-line diagrams is mandatory
- Ability to read and comprehend electrical systems and equipment specifications and test reports is mandatory
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience practicing in this field, preferably as an engineer-of-record
Responsibilities
Conduct independent engineering / due diligence technical advisory reviews of long duration energy storage systems (LDES) and related infrastructure supporting clean energy projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced engineering degrees are a plus
- Background in electrical supply and distribution systems, including low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage inside-the-fence supply and distribution systems are a plus
- Ability to review related contracts, such as engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, equipment supply agreements, interconnection agreements, utility and RTO/ISO interconnection applications and related queue documentation, and power purchase agreements is a plus
- Ability to review instrumentation and controls (I&C), digital central control systems, process controls, and SCADA systems is a plus
- A licensed professional engineer (P.E.) is preferred
