Machine Learning Engineer

Join Blend, an award-winning data science consultancy, as a Machine Learning Engineer! You will design, develop, and deploy scalable ML models, optimize algorithms, integrate models into production systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role offers the flexibility of 100% remote work if you reside in LATAM or the option to work in our Montevideo, Uruguay office. You'll leverage Python, PyTorch, SciPy, Kubernetes, and LLMs to build and maintain in-house tools and utilize cloud infrastructure. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Advanced Data Science, specializing in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning, and time series forecasting
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and SciPy for machine learning development
• Experience in microservices architecture and model serving using Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), multi-modal models, and API integration
• Understanding of prompt engineering techniques for optimizing model responses
• Strong ability to create and maintain in-house tools and automation using Python
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure for ML deployment
• Solid software development skills, including clean coding, debugging, and performance tuning
• Excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and deploy machine learning models using Python, PyTorch, and SciPy
• Design and implement microservices for model serving with Kubernetes
• Work with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multi-modal models, integrating APIs for real-world applications
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve model interactions and outputs
• Build and maintain in-house tools and automation frameworks using Python
• Utilize cloud infrastructure to deploy, scale, and manage ML models efficiently
• Ensure high-quality software development, adhering to best coding practices and performance optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into production systems
