Anika Systems is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to work remotely on developing Generative AI applications and driving intelligent automation solutions. The intern will be involved in all phases of AI development, from conceptualization to testing and refinement, and will have the opportunity to conduct research on the latest advancements in generative AI.

Requirements

• At least two years of college coursework
• Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (3.0+ GPA)
• Strong knowledge of Python and other programming languages
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Strong technical aptitude and desire for continuous learning
• Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the technical team to understand the requirements and develop Generative AI solutions that meet those needs
• Test and refine the developed AI applications, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency
• Learn to effectively prompt engineer LLMs
• Use responsible AI best practices and principles
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement
• Research new developments in the field of Generative AI
• Participate in sprint planning and agile development processes
• Develop foundational knowledge of cloud services
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI technology (LLMs, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, vector databases)
• Understanding of how Large Language Models work
• Hands-on experience with cloud services (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning libraries
