Machine Learning Engineer/Technical Leader

Summary

Join EXUS AI Labs, the R&D department of EXUS, as an R&D - ML Engineer (Mid) / Technical Leader in a fully remote position. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on large-scale Research and Innovation Projects in various sectors. Your main duties involve technical project management, technical specification definition, applying machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, collaborating with data scientists and software engineers, and providing solutions to technical issues. The role requires a BSc in a relevant field, 3-5 years of experience in application development, and expertise in software engineering, data analysis, and Python. Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field
• Proven working experience, 3 to 5 years, on application development project(s)
• Good knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and computational algorithms
• Proven experience and competence in software engineering and design
• Good understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architectures
• Expertise in data analysis and visualization
• Proven experience in Python
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, pandas, scikit-learn)
• Good knowledge of Git
• Experience with REST-API design and implementation

Responsibilities

• Technical Project Management (project’s effort allocation, task plan, projects' progress overview, participation in calls & meetings)
• Projects' Technical specification definition & Architecture Design (technical requirements definition, software architecture design, data flows definition)
• Apply Machine Learning algorithms and techniques, build and maintain end-to-end solutions
• Statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to build and maintain data and model pipelines
• Provide solutions to any technical-related issues during a project’s lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in frameworks Django, FLASK or FastAPI
• Familiar with SQL databases
• Familiarisation with application containers (Docker) and general exposure to continuous integration processes and practices
• Familiarization with event-driven processes
• Working experience in Research / H2020 Projects
• Ability to travel (up to 10% of total working time, in European destinations)
• Fulfilled military obligations for male candidates
