MACHINE LEARNING INTERN

What You’ll Do

You will work with our team of engineers at the intersection of vision, language and machine learning to create state-of-the-art models for various applications within Epic Games, such as content moderation, semantic search, chatbot assistants, etc. You will be given the task of designing, implementing, training and evaluating a natural language processing deep learning system to classify and/or generate data.

In this role, you will

• Investigate state-of-the-art machine learning approaches for specific natural language processing tasks
• Design, implement and run experiments with approaches agreed with the team lead
• Help deliver production-ready, scalable and high-quality systems
• Critically assess the effectiveness of such systems and make recommendations for improvements

What we’re looking for

• On-going MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
• Experience implementing/experimenting with innovative machine learning algorithms for problems in natural language processing or other related application areas like computer vision
• Hands-on knowledge (e.g. coursework, project, previous work/internships) of deep learning algorithms, specially transformer architectures
• Python and associated ML tools/frameworks (numpy, scipy, sklearn, pytorch)

This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
