Summary
Join PhotoShelter's AI team as a Machine Learning Intern for a part-time, remote role (20 hours/week) from June to August 2025. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in developing and implementing ML solutions. Key responsibilities include data preparation, model development, experimentation and iteration, documentation, and continuous learning. This internship is ideal for those eager to learn and contribute to real-world projects. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in in Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, and deep learning
Responsibilities
- Data Preparation: Clean, preprocess, and analyze datasets to ensure they are ready for modeling and analysis
- Model Development: Collaborate with senior ML engineers to design, build, and train machine learning models using tools such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant frameworks
- Experimentation and Iteration: Conduct experiments to optimize model performance, explore new techniques, and refine approaches based on project requirements
- Documentation and Communication: Document your work, share insights, and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply new knowledge to enhance project outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for sports or photography
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Prior coursework or projects involving machine learning, data analysis, or AI
- Familiarity with AWS
