Machine Learning Scientist I, Generative AI

Summary

Join TripAdvisor as an ML I Scientist and contribute to the company's Marketing efforts by leveraging Generative AI. You will apply your modeling skills to solve various problems, including online advertising bidding, customer modeling, and revenue optimization. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including ML scientists, analysts, and engineers. This role involves designing and deploying GenAI solutions, seeking new application opportunities, staying updated on ML advancements, prototyping and maintaining models, designing A/B tests, and communicating results to stakeholders. The position offers access to the latest development tools and large datasets, allowing you to observe the real-time impact of your work. The location is flexible, either office, hybrid, or remote-based within Portugal.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related quantitative field
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong foundation in machine learning and statistics
• Solid foundation on data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency in Python

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and deployment of GenAI solutions to solve a variety of core business problems across the Marketing area
• Seek out new opportunities to apply GenAI in the Marketing space
• Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and apply them to improve existing systems and processes
• Prototype, evaluate, deploy and maintain new models in production
• Design A/B tests and analyze their results
• Communicate progress and interpretation of model output/performance to technical and business stakeholders
• Participate in the determination of next steps for each project

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Gen AI projects is a plus
• Previous experience is a plus, but not required
