Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in mainframe systems administration
• Strong knowledge of IBM MQ, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Familiarity with z/OS, JCL, and other mainframe technologies
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving MQ-related issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the mainframe MQ environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability
• Monitor system performance, diagnose and resolve issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement enhancements and improvements to the mainframe MQ system
• Perform routine system maintenance activities, including installations, upgrades, and patches
• Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and end users
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response
