Summary

OCT Consulting is hiring a Management Consulting Analyst or Associate to support a government client's workforce reorganization efforts. The role involves updating policies, documenting new processes, communicating changes, and providing guidance on operations and communications. The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in project and program support within the Department of State, DoD, or other Federal agencies, with a preference for management consulting experience and background in Category Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience providing mid-level project and program support within the Department of State, DoD, or other Federal agencies
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented working style
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in support of senior government stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs, as well as Google tools to manage Shared files
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple taskings, and work in a fast-paced working environment
  • Openness to feedback and continuous self-improvement; self-awareness to understand the areas where you excel and those which will require further development
  • Highly intellectually curious and resourceful when approaching problems and determining solutions
  • Top-notch organizational skills
  • Willingness to perform a broad range of tasks that include everything from high-level strategy creation to administrative duties
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and flexibility in supporting a diverse set of projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and retain a Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance; the investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check (Current Secret or higher clearance preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Providing support and guidance to the government client around operations, communications, and training
  • Writing and updating the organization’s policies related to the reorganization efforts
  • Documenting new and updated business processes, including document review matrices
  • Communicating business process changes to the client’s workforce of over 500 FTEs through education and training campaigns
  • Assist with the development of various presentations, briefing materials, plans, and infographics using Excel, Google, and MS PowerPoint
  • Supporting executive-level meeting facilitation and scheduling, and facilitating new and recurring meetings to build consensus, gain approval on key decisions, and conduct research
  • Conduct one-on-one and small group interviews to solicit stakeholder feedback
  • Draft, finalize, and distribute meeting minutes
  • Perform other administrative and management duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous management consulting (or similar) experience is highly desired
  • Experience providing technical writing support to a Federal government program office
  • Experience in policy writing for a Federal agency
  • Background in Category Management (Preferred)
  • Background supporting reorganization efforts for a Federal agency (Preferred)
