Summary

Jobber is seeking a Manager, Analytics Engineering to lead its Analytics Engineering function. The role involves developing scalable data architectures, working closely with cross-functional teams, overseeing the selection of analytics tools, creating dashboards and reports, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven hands on experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results on time (Project Management Experience)
  • The ability to be agile in an agile environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to recruit, develop, motivate and mentor a team of data engineers, data scientists, and data analyst professionals

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analytics engineers
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data architectures and pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics needs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, to understand their data requirements and deliver relevant tables and insights
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of analytics tools and platforms
  • Create and manage dashboards, reports, and data visualizations alongside your team, to provide clear and actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
