Join Bustle Digital Group's Commerce Team as a Commerce Manager and help devise and implement data-driven marketing and editorial tactics. Requirements
- Strong attention to detail; strong analytical, model-building, and organizational skills
- BA/BS degree (Marketing, Business, Product Merchandising, Journalism or loosely related fields)
- At least 1-2 years of experience in E- E-Commerce, Marketing, Business, or related fields
- Strategic, creative, and analytical thinker with excellent written and data analysis skills; strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines
- Strong technology and analytical-related skills, aptitude, and interest - solid MS Office (Excel) and Google Sheets skills; Google Analytics aptitude
- Interest in digital marketing, e-commerce, and content
- Focus, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to succeed, combined with being flexible and able to change course in response to business needs
- Willingness to go above & beyond what is asked
- A resourceful, self-starter who can figure out how to solve problems and can take ideas and run with them, without direct oversight
Responsibilities
- Help develop and manage marketing campaigns and ads across major social media platforms, newsletters, search, etc. to drive traffic to commerce content that leads to product purchases
- On a daily basis, update models and use other tools to analyze revenue and traffic performance of commerce content across various marketing channels (social, search, newsletter, etc). Synthesize data from various sources (internal dashboards and external sources, like Google Analytics, Amazon Associates, etc) and use it to update models (using Google Sheets and Excel)
- Help identify the best affiliate products and product images to feature in articles and across marketing platforms, based on click and purchase data analysis, research into digital trends, and a deep understanding of digital shopping behavior and what drives user engagement
- Build new models and spreadsheets as needed to analyze performance data, organize content and team processes, and create team and management presentations
- Assist in other projects, including analyzing and researching optimal affiliate strategies, marketing and e-commerce trends, and A/B testing affiliate tactics to promote revenue growth
- Help manage the workflow of part-time commerce employees who assist in content creation and performance analysis
Benefits
- $68,000 - $73,000 a year
- Salary is dependent on skill set and experience. In addition to this base salary range, this role includes a commission component that varies based on experience and demonstrated skill set
