Summary
Join Evidence Action's Accelerator team as an MNCH Program Manager and contribute to the development and implementation of cost-effective maternal, neonatal, and child health interventions. You will support the pipeline of MNCH programs, conduct research, review deliverables, and lead implementation activities. Collaborate with various teams, manage relationships with stakeholders, and support fundraising efforts. This remote position, based in the US, requires 5+ years of experience in public health or a related field and a bachelor's degree or higher. Requirements
- 5+ years work experience with a background in public health, global health, research, or management consulting
- Bachelor’s or above degree in a related field such as public health, international development, public policy, economics, statistics, or business
- Experience managing programs in international development in relevant sectors (e.g. WASH, health, nutrition)
- Able to analyze programmatic data and have an understanding of evidence and cost-effectiveness
- Experience developing high-quality deliverables for external audiences such as policy reviews, policy documents and strategies, training materials, and toolkits
- Experience working collaboratively across time zones in a matrixed, multicultural professional environment
- Can shift across different programs spanning different topics, and can iterate in real time
- Able to represent Evidence Action in high-stakes meetings with external partners and major donors
- Willing to travel up to 10-20% of the time across Evidence Action geographies
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S
Responsibilities
- Support the Accelerator pipeline of MNCH-related programs
- Contribute to desk-based research assessing the potential of new programs by estimating the total addressable market, cost-effectiveness, evidence-base, strategic fit, and funding opportunities
- Review written research deliverables and weigh in on whether new programs should progress through the Accelerator pipeline
- Support in country scoping activities to inform the feasibility of launching new programs
- In close collaboration with the new program development team, lead early implementation activities, including surveys and pilots
- Operationalize new and existing MNCH programs
- Support fundraising for new programs, including identifying potential donors and proposal development
- Design program implementation strategies and approaches
- Provide technical and strategic leadership to the implementation of new programs
- In close collaboration with regional and country teams, develop and oversee work plans related to program implementation
- Support the Syphilis-Free Start program, as needed
- Working across our matrix, laterally manage and collaborate with Evidence Action staff, including cost-effectiveness, monitoring, learning, and evaluation, pillar, new program development, regional, and country teams
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with in-country program managers and directors to support the scale-up of programs and to ensure that program goals and milestones are met
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within the MNCH global health domain including government, implementers, donors, bi/multilaterals, and researchers
