Requirements
- 5+ years of primary care or family medicine experience as a physician with an assigned panel of patients
- 2+ years of virtual care experience
- Active medical license and Board Certification in Family Medicine (ABMS or AOA)
- Current, unrestricted MD/DO license in good standing with your state board
- 1+ years experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs)
- Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program including Medicare or Medicaid, and not listed as an excluded individual by the Office of OIG or the GSA
- Must maintain active Medicare billing status
- Strong relationship-building skills; able to influence without authority
- Decisive, collaborative, and skilled at gaining team buy-in
- Proven ability to drive clinical quality and productivity
- Comfortable serving as the clinical voice of the practice
- Tech-savvy with Google Suite and clinical platforms
- Able to multitask and thrive in fast-paced settings
- Strong customer service focus
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor clinicians while fostering a safe, high-performing environment
- Manage individual performance in collaboration with the Medical Director and TAO; take corrective action when needed
- Conduct regular staff meetings to support engagement and growth
- Drive operational improvements and clinician productivity
- Serve as a strategic partner across the organization to support key initiatives
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and leadership teams
- Provide clear, timely updates and ensure two-way feedback mechanisms are in place
- May assist in organizing content for huddles and meetings
- Partner with the Clinical Quality Team on QA/QI initiatives and annual reviews
- Recommend improvements based on clinician feedback and patient satisfaction metrics
- Deliver feedback to promote guideline adherence and patient safety
- Clinical supervisor of record for a dedicated group of Nurse Practitioners and will provide clinical supervision in accordance with State and internal program guidelines
- Assist in leading our NP clinical supervision program, providing guidance and mentorship to our NP clinical supervisors
- Dedicate at least 50% of time to patient care, with timely and professional documentation
- Provide care for CCM-enrolled patients and model clinical excellence
- Support the peer review process, audit charts, and deliver necessary clinician feedback
- Take on administrative projects as needed; occasional business travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of clinical leadership (ideally in virtual care)
- Experience in value-based care (VBC) models
