Requirements
- A record of exemplary journalism
- Experience managing reporters
- At least 7 years of journalism experience
- A track record of editing fast-turnaround posts, major investigations, and everything in between
- Experience leading newsroom initiatives and improving newsroom operations
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of reporters
- Editing a mix of breaking news, quick scoops, commentary, and investigations
- Setting and enforcing deadlines
- Establishing and fine-tuning newsroom workflows
- Collaborating with teams across the organization
- Commissioning, editing and managing relationships with freelance journalists
- Overseeing and delivering on special projects and initiatives
