Join WeyMedia, a leading Canadian fintech company, as our Managing Editor to lead our Content Team and oversee the end-to-end content publishing process. Champion quality and accuracy in all content to positively impact our readers. Plan content calendars, assign stories, coach the team, and analyze content performance. This role requires a passion for personal finance and proven editorial and management experience. You will be responsible for transforming good content into something remarkable.
Requirements

- You're passionate about all things personal finance, including but not limited to: Banking, Credit cards, Insurance, Investing
- You have first-rate attention to detail and an uncompromising standard for excellence that drive high-volume, best-in-class personal finance content
- You have a bias for action, execute projects with speed and urgency, and nothing slips by you with your solid project management skills and follow-through
- You have at least 5 years of editorial and management experience preferably in the financial space, a top online publication, and/or a fast-paced startup tech company
- You have progressive years of experience in research, fact-checking, writing, copywriting, copy-editing, and end-to-end digital content creation
- You're inspired by at least one great copywriter (and if you are, tell us in your cover letter)
- You're trusted and trustworthy, and you look after your team
- You're good with numbers, spreadsheets, and math doesn't scare you
- You're comfortable with technology, live in the cloud, and can learn and adapt quickly
- You have experience with one or more CMS and are excited to adapt to a new proprietary system
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism or equivalent β and a PhD in creative-problem solving, content structuring, and polishing articles so every word tells
- You live and are legally eligible to work in Canada

- Lead our Content Team and oversee the end-to-end process of our publishing journey
- Champion quality and accuracy so each piece of content makes a positive and meaningful impact on our readers β Canadian consumers
- Plan our content calendars, giving our readers the best and most jam-packed information on saving / earning / investing money that can be found anywhere in Canada
- Assign stories to the team, coach, challenge, and sharpen until every word tells β transforming good content into something remarkable
- Drive the ambitious expansion of our audience reach and use analytics tools to create, prepare, and present reports with insights into successes and lessons learned
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the best approach, backed by research and data, wins the day
- Manage stretch projects, with an eye on company and people growth
- Wear many different hats in a lean, agile, and fast-paced culture
