Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in marketing or PR, with a focus on political or social advocacy
- Proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences
- Expertise in social media management and analytics
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive marketing decisions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel as needed for events and meetings
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies across various channels
- Lead social media efforts, including content creation, community management, and analytics
- Craft compelling campaign messaging to support organizational goals
- Manage and enhance Govuni's public image through strategic PR initiatives
- Increase stakeholder engagement through targeted outreach programs
- Oversee the production of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms
- Monitor and analyze marketing metrics to optimize campaign performance
- Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and media outlets
- Develop and maintain crisis communication plans
- Coordinate and execute events to promote Govuni's mission and initiatives
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in marketing and communications
- Manage and mentor a team of marketing and communications professionals
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets
- Report on marketing and communications activities to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Experience working in government or non-profit organizations
- Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing best practices
- Experience with public speaking and media relations
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities
