Summary
Join ALTEN Mexico, a leading engineering company, as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in trunk, tailgate, and frunk systems. Requirements
- Minimum of 4.5 years of experience in mechanical engineering using CAD tools (SOME in automotive industry)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 4.5 years of experience as mechanical engineer (with some in the automotive field)
- Advance English level
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, etc)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and experience in creating detailed engineering drawings
- Experience with load studies and structural analysis
- Knowledge of Class A surface development
- Advanced or advanced intermediate English, able to communicate fluently at a technical level, with the ability to interpret and write documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (technical and non-technical)
- Autonomous
- Able to manage multiple simultaneously responsibilities and projects, while being mind of deadlines
- Must be task oriented, detail oriented and Make Sound Decisions
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, problem solving, organizational skills, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team environment at all levels
Responsibilities
- Design and development of components such as trunk sills, sub trunks, load floors and support structures
- Design and development of tailgate components, including lower, upper and side sections
- Design and development of trunk components, including compartments, cargo floor covers and accessories
- Implement mounting systems, GD&T strategies and rib patterns
- Design and integration of additional kennels and features
- Perform load studies and interface analysis
- Develop Class A surface sections and support 3Dex versions
- Perform OKTT (Off-Tool Tryout) and OKTC (Off-Tool Completion)
- Update 3D structures as required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 3Dex releases, OKTT, and OKTC processes
