Mechatronics Hardware Engineering Lead, Remote - Worldwide

Summary

The Lead Hardware/Mechatronics Engineer will oversee hardware development and maintenance for existing products and new product development. They will act as a team leader, be the company's SME in mechatronics design, lead efforts to detect, analyze, and fix hardware issues, participate in design reviews with a focus on DFM and DFR, and ensure the design process is followed according to the Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

• Combination of degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar and experience across product development and product maintenance: minimum of BS + 10 years experience, MS + 8 years, PhD + 5 years
• 2 years experience as an engineering lead

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware/mechatronics engineering efforts for existing products and new product development
• Act as both a high-performing individual contributor as well as team/functional leader for hardware development and maintenance
• Be the company SME in mechatronics design
• Lead efforts to detect, analyze and fix hardware design issues
• Participate in design reviews with focus on DFM and DFR
• Ensure the design process, defined in the Quality Management System (QMS), is being followed

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Device experience preferred
• Experience with orthotics and/or exoskeletons
• Design of devices used by consumers
• Design of devices used by elderly or with physical limitations
